Founder Bio (Tone The MoveMaker)

Tone The MoveMaker is an artist, entrepreneur, and community leader who turned lived experience into a blueprint for transformation.

Born and raised in Chicago, Tone’s early life was shaped by the realities of the streets. After being involved in that lifestyle, he made a conscious decision to change direction, stepping into the workforce at McDonald's, where he spent seven years learning the foundations of business operations. His journey led him to Hamburger University, where he gained hands-on experience managing and scaling multi-million dollar systems.

Determined to expand his knowledge beyond traditional paths, Tone immersed himself in the business world by independently attending courses and events at Iowa State University, studying entrepreneurship, systems, and strategy from the outside in.

Today, as the founder of Designed By The Streets and a Program Manager for youth initiatives in Des Moines, Tone is on a mission to teach the streets how to build, not just survive. Through fashion, storytelling, and innovative experiences, he translates real-life lessons into tools for the next generation.

His message is simple but powerful:
“We Make Art Out Of Life… Then Bring The Art To Life.”
